YLD Members Wrap 300 Gifts for Children's Holiday Party

We are happy to announce that last night we finished wrapping all 300 hundred gifts for the Children's Holiday Party!!

It took about 20 rolls of wrapping paper, an immeasurable amount of tape, and 3 hours of skilled (well, sort of) labor to wrap all of the gifts, but we finished wrapping everything in one night, which is always our goal.

Wrapping the gifts each year is arguably one of the most stressful and tedious tasks for the Children's Holiday Party. It is generally the night we get the least amount of volunteers, however, this year we had the MOST volunteers sign up for wrapping night. We had a really enthusiastic and detail-oriented group that followed instructions and was careful to make sure each child got the 5 gifts that were handpicked for them. Each of our wrappers did a wonderful job wrapping, and their pleasant attitudes made the process easy and fun.

Also, a huge thank you to Chair-Elect, Adam Busler and his wife, Jen (and dog, Rosie) for hosting a fun wrapping party, complete with pizza, wine and beer!! Having a wrapping party always makes the process more fun!
