ACBA Young Lawyers Division Sponsors National Constitution Center Program at William Davies Middle S
As part of our community outreach initiatives, the Young Lawyers Division sponsors educational programs in Atlantic County public schools to provide students with fun, interactive perspectives on legal and historical topics. On October 27, 2016, the YLD sponsored the National Constitution Center Traveling Program at William Davies Middle School in Hamilton, New Jersey.
The National Constitution Center educators presented two daytime shows, the first at 9:00am and the second at 1:00pm, to over 300 students in 5th through 8th grades. The shows focused on the Bill of Rights and taught students about the specific rights provided to them by each of the first ten amendments to the Constitution. Following the program, the students and teachers in the crowd were anxious to get back to their classrooms and continue the conversation.
The YLD is excited to continue to seek out and sponsor additional educational programs to the students of Atlantic County in the future.
